Honors Announced
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's and men’s indoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for February 11 – February 17, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC players-of-the-week and players and coaches-of-the-year awards program.
 
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events
Abby Schlueter, Doane
 
Doane’s Abby Schlueter is the field athlete-of-the-week. Schlueter, a junior from Beatrice, Nebraska, placed first in the triple jump at the USD John Dalton Invite with a jump of 37-01.75. She holds the top triple jump mark in the GPAC entering this weekend’s Conference Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska.
 
Track Events
Holly Andrews, Nebraska Wesleyan
 
Nebraska Wesleyan’s Holly Andrews is the track athlete-of-the-week. Andrews, a senior from Seward, Nebraska, placed first in the 55 meter hurdles and 200 meters at the NWU Quad Meet on Saturday. Her time of 8.24 in the 55 hurdles is the fastest in NCAA DIII this season, and the third fastest in school history. In the 200 she posted a time of 26.35.
 
Sioux Falls 4x400 Relay
 
University of Sioux Falls’ 4x400 meter relay team is the track athletes-of-the-week. The group of Regan Kuipers, Carrie Nix, Katie Pociask, and Lindsay Reinhardt posted a time of 4:03.93 at the USD John Dalton Invite. The time is the top mark in the GPAC this season.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events
Jon Ryan, Sioux Falls
 
University of Sioux Falls’ Jon Ryan is the field athlete-of-the-week. Ryan, a sophomore from Platte, South Dakota, placed first in the long jump at the USD John Dalton Invite. His mark was 23-02 and that set a school record and automatically qualifies him for the NAIA National Championships.
 
Track Events
Nebraska Wesleyan 4x400 Relay
 
Nebraska Wesleyan’s 4x400 meter relay team is the track athletes-of-the-week. The group ran a time of 3:22.17 in winning the event at the NWU Quad Meet. The time set a new Knight Fieldhouse record. The Prairie Wolves also won the team title in the event.
