![]() Dana College scored 93 points and claimed the 2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Wrestling Championship today at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota.
Morningside was second with 81.5 points, while Northwestern was third with 77 points.
Burke Barnes from Dana was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament at 133 pounds. Brandon Hudiburgh from Hastings was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports GPAC Wrestler-of-the-Year at 197 pounds. Morningside Head Coach Tim Jager took GPAC Coach-of-the-Year Honors.
The complete GPAC All-Conference Wrestling Team will be released next week.
Dakota Wesleyan was the host for this year's GPAC Wrestling Championships.
