![]() GPAC Wrestling Honors Named The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following wrestler-of-the-week for January 28 – February 3, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Wrestler-of-the-Week
Brandon Hudiburgh, Hastings – 197 Pound Weight Class Hastings wrestler Brandon Hudiburgh is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Hudiburgh, a freshman from Grand Island, Nebraska, posted a 3-0 duals record on the week for the Broncos. One of his key wins for the week was a 2-1 overtime victory over Northwestern’s Enock Francois who is ranked third in the region. On the season he is now 25-10 in dual matches. For the week the team posted a 2-1 record and now sit at 4-2 overall in their inaugural season of wrestling at Hastings.
Lamar Reed, Northwestern - 165 Pound Weight Class
Northwestern wrestler Lamar Reed is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Reed, a sophomore from Tarzana, California, posted a 2-0 dual record and 4-0 tournament record for the Red Raiders. For the week he posted a dual win over Ryan Tuzon of Dana, ranked 5th in the NAIA, and won two matches by pin (under 2:00 minutes) in winning his weight class at the Briar Cliff Invite. Reed is undefeated in GPAC matches this season.
