![]() Remmerde Nearing NAIA All-Time Scoring Record! The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women’s basketball player-of-the-week for December 31, 2007 – January 6, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week
Debbie Remmerde, Northwestern Northwestern guard Debbie Remmerde is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week. Remmerde, a 5-9 senior from Rock Valley, Iowa, totaled 28 points and nine rebounds as #2 Northwestern defeated #12 Hastings 67-63 on Saturday in Orange City. For the game she was 4-6 from the three-point line (67%) and 9-15 from the floor. She also made good on all six of her free throw attempts. For her career she now has 3,172 points and is quickly closing in on the All-Time NAIA Division II Women’s Scoring Record held by Brittany Smart from Cedarville (OH). Remmerde needs 65 points to break the record and she is averaging 29.3 points per game this season. Northwestern is 14-1 overall and 4-0 in the GPAC. The Red Raiders will play at Sioux Falls this Wednesday night in a 6PM contest at the Stewart Center. |
