![]() Northwestern Ends Season at 31-12 Northwestern College saw their volleyball season come to a close tonight in the quarterfinal round of the 2007 NAIA National Volleyball Tournament in Columbia, Missouri. The 17th ranked Red Raiders lost to #2 California Baptist 3-0 (30-24, 30-14, 30-19).
Earlier in the day the Red Raiders won a championship bracket play-in match to advance into the quarterfinal round. Northwestern was down 2-1 to host and 6th ranked Columbia before battling back to win game four 31-29 and game five 15-13 (after being behind 13-9). It was Northwestern's second five game win of the tournament.
Northwestern ends the season at 31-12 under the direction of Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch.
