 Mustangs Now 33-2 On the Season Top seed Morningside defeated second seed Northwestern 3-0 on Saturday night in the 2007 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Volleyball Tournament Championship Match. The game scores in Sioux City, Iowa, at the Rosen Verdoon Sports Center (Allee Gymnasium) were 30-25, 30-28, 30-28.
With the win Morningside gains an automatic berth in the NAIA Region III Tournament. The GPAC and Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) Postseason Champions received automatic berths, with the four remaining berths going to the highest ranked teams in the region. The pool play pairings for the NAIA Region III Tournament will be released on Sunday, November 11, at approximately 2PM. The NAIA Region III Tournament is November 16-17 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at Sioux Falls Christian High School. Saturday, November 3, 2007
