![]() GPAC Soccer Honors The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men’s soccer players-of-the-week for October 22 -October 28, 2007. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men’s Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Men’s Offense- Matt Cross, Dana (Forward) Dana forward Matt Cross is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Cross, a 6-2 freshman from Roseville, Minnesota, scored a goal and an assist as Dana defeated Dordt 3-0 on Saturday. The win moved the Vikings to 10-5-3 on the season and earned them a number three seed in the NAIA Region II Men’s Soccer Tournament. Dana will host Sioux Falls on Wednesday, October 31, at 1PM in Blair, Nebraska. Men’s Defense – Brian Schekirke, Morningside (Keeper)
Morningside keeper Brian Schekirke is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Schekirke, a 6-1 senior from Bellevue, Nebraska, totaled 16 saves and allowed one goal in 195 minutes of playing time. The Mustangs are now 9-6-3 and will play at Midland Lutheran on Wednesday, October 31, in a NAIA Region III first round game at 1PM. |
