GPAC Women's Golf Individual Medalist Brittnay Hofer The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for October 8 – October 15, 2007. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week
WOMEN- Brittnay Hofer, Sioux Falls Brittnay Hofer from Sioux Falls is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Hofer, a senior from Lead, South Dakota, was the individual medalist in the 2007 GPAC Women’s Golf Championships. Last Thursday and Friday in Lincoln, Nebraska, she shot a 36 hole total of 151 (76, 75). The USF women won the championship with a 666 and snapped Dakota Wesleyan’s five-year championship run in women’s golf in the GPAC. MEN- Phil Hranac, Nebraska Wesleyan
Nebraska Wesleyan’s Phil Hranac is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Hranac, a sophomore from Kearney, Nebraska, shot a 149 over two-days at the Gordin Collegiate Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He shot rounds of 74 and 75. The NWU men placed sixth out of 12 teams in the meet. The Prairie Wolves are ranked 11th in the lastest Golf World/Nike Division III Coaches’ Poll. NWU is the four-time defending GPAC Men’s Champion. The GPAC Men’s Golf Championships are this upcoming Spring, April 20 and 21, in Sioux City, Iowa, at the Green Valley Golf Course. ***This is the final week of GPAC Golf Honors until the 2008 Spring Season*** |
