![]() Dana's Ashley Armstrong The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women’s soccer players-of-the-week for October 8 -October 14, 2007. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women’s Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women’s Offense- Maggie Kukuk, Morningside (Forward) Morningside forward Maggie Kukuk is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Kukuk, a 5-3 sophomore from Sioux City, Iowa, scored three goals and added one assist as the Mustangs went 3-0 on the week. In a key regional win over Midland Lutheran (3-0) she netted a pair of goals. Morningside is 12-2 on the season and leads the GPAC with an 8-0 record. Women’s Defense- Ashley Armstrong, Dana (Keeper)
Dana keeper Ashley Armstrong is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Armstrong, a 6-0 sophomore from Castle Rock, Colorado, won a pair of games in net as the Vikings went 2-0 on the week. Dana is now 9-6 on the season after key league wins over Nebraska Wesleyan and Northwestern. For the week she faced 13 shots and stopped 12. The Vikings have won six games in a row. |
