The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for October 1 –October 7, 2007. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week
WOMEN – Olivia Johnson, Northwestern
  Northwestern’s Olivia Johnson is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Johnson, a freshman from Milford, Iowa, placed first in the Briar Cliff Invite with a time of 18:24. The meet was run at the Adams Nature Preserve in McCook Lake, South Dakota. The Red Raider women won the meet with 40 points. Ten teams and 121 athletes participated in the 5K race.
 
MEN – David Goeglein, Concordia
  Concordia’s David Goeglein is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Goeglein, a sophomore from Kansas City, Missouri, won the Concordia Invite with a time of 26:08. The Concordia men won the meet with 19 points. 32 athletes ran in the 8K race.
