Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

WOMEN- Cassidy Potter, Dakota Wesleyan
Cassidy Potter from Dakota Wesleyan is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Potter, a sophomore from Casper, Wyoming shot a 73 in claiming medalist honors at the Morningside Invite in Sioux City, Iowa. The round tied the DWU school record, which is also held by Abby DeWolf (set in 2004). The Tigers won the meet by 30 strokes at Whispering Creek in Sioux City. MEN-
Brett Abbotts, Dakota Wesleyan Dakota Wesleyan’s Brett Abbotts is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Abbotts, a junior from Owen Sound, Ontario-Canada, shot a two day total of 142 in winning medalist honors at the Hastings Fall Invite. He shot a 70 at the Lochland Country Club and a 72 at the Southern Hills Country Club. The round of 142 set a new DWU record for a 36 hole tournament. The Tigers placed second as a team and set a school record with a 36 hole score of 592. |
