The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for September 17 – September 23, 2007. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

WOMEN
Brittany Hofer, Sioux Falls and Kristi Tighe, Morningside
 
Brittany Hofer from Sioux Falls and Kristi Tighe from Morningside are this week’s Co-GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Golfers-of-the-Week. Hofer, a senior from Lead, South Dakota, and Tighe, a senior from Homer, Nebraska, each shot 158’s in claiming co-medalist honors at the Briar Cliff University/Lila Frommelt Classic last week in Sioux City, Iowa. Tighe hit an eagle during first round action on Thursday, while Hofer led her Sioux Falls teammates to the team title with a 671. The meet was played at the Green Valley Golf Course.

Nick Gates, Dakota Wesleyan
 
Dakota Wesleyan’s Nick Gates is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Gates, a sophomore from Mitchell, South Dakota, fired a three-under round of 69 to take medalist honors at the Minnesota-Morris Cougar Invite in Benson, Minnesota. He won the individual title by four strokes and the Tiger men won the meet by 25 strokes.
