The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for September 17 -September 23, 2007. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week
WOMEN
Kym Bennett, Doane
 
Doane’s Kym Bennett is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Bennett, a junior from Bellevue, Nebraska, was the top GPAC finisher in the Doane Dean White Invite in Crete, Nebraska. She posted a second place time of 19:56.17 on the 5K course. Creighton University won the team title on the women’s side.

MEN –
Sufian Kimo, Doane
Doane’s Sufian Kimo is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Kimo, a sophomore from Norfolk, Nebraska, was the top GPAC finisher in the Doane Dean White Invite in Crete, Nebraska, on Saturday. He posted a 4th place time of 26:05 on the 8K course. Creighton University won the team title on the men’s side.

Doane College will host the GPAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 27
