The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for September 10 -September 16, 2007. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week

WOMEN-
Brittany
Hubbard, Nebraska Wesleyan
 
Nebraska Wesleyan’s Brittany Hubbard is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Hubbard, a senior from Gering, Nebraska, registered a time of 22.37.6 in the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her time was the fastest GPAC women’s time in the college division. She placed 2nd in the college division and 12th overall. Hubbard is the two-time defending GPAC Women’s Cross Country Individual Champion.

MEN –
Zach Meineke, Concordia
  Concordia’s Zach Meineke is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Meineke, a sophomore from Denver, Colorado, clocked a time of 26:01.45 in the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. His time was the fastest GPAC men’s time in the college division. He finished a step ahead of teammate and two-time NAIA All-American Luka Thor (also defending GPAC Men’s Cross Country Individual Champion). He placed 13th in the division and 20th overall.
