The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following volleyball players-of-the-week for September 10 -September 16, 2007. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Volleyball Players-of-the-Week
Player- Katie Werner, Concordia (MB)
  Concordia’s Katie Werner is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Player-of-the-Week. Werner, a 6-2 junior from Syracuse, Nebraska, averaged 4.13 kills per game and hit .369 on the week for the Bulldogs. At the net she totaled 19 solo and 21 assist blocks for an average of 2.67 blocks per game. Her efforts earned her All-Tournament Honors at the Hastings-Quality Hotel Classic over the weekend. Concordia is 10-5 on the season and will play at Nebraska Wesleyan this Wednesday night.

Setter- Rachel Gosselink, Northwestern
  Northwestern setter Rachel Gosselink is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Gosselink, a 6-1 sophomore from Urbandale, Iowa, averaged 12.5 assists per game and totaled 55 digs on the week in being named All-Tournament at the Hastings-Quality Hotel Classic. In a five-game match against Defending National Champion National American she lofted 57 assists. Northwestern went 3-1 on the weekend to improve to 10-5 for the season. The Raiders will host College of Saint Mary on Tuesday night at 7:30PM.
 
Libero – Kaylee Lubken, Doane
 
Doane libero Kaylee Lubken is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Libero-of-the-Week. Lubken, a 5-5 senior from Trumbell, Nebraska, totaled 83 digs for an average of 4.61 per game as Doane went 3-2 on the week. On the service line she was 92-100 with four ace serves and she was 99-104 on serve receive. The Tigers are 8-6 on the season and will play at Hastings on Wednesday night in a 7:30PM match.
