Eighth ranked Bellevue University defeated Northwestern 3-2 today and won game two of the best of three series in the NAIA Plains Super Regional in Omaha, Nebraska, at Westgate Park. 

 

Today's game two win, coupled with a 6-1 win in game one last night, sends the Bruins back to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.

 

GPAC and NAIA Region III Pitcher-of-the-Year Mihai Berlea took his first loss of the season and ended the season at 12-1.  Northwestern's season closes at 37-18.
