![]() Doane's Windle Sets Record in 800 Honors for the 2007 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Outdoor Women’s Track and Field Season have been announced.
For the second consecutive year Doane’s Katie Kosmos has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete-of-the-Year. Kosmos scored 36 points in the GPAC Championships for the Tigers. Doane’s Ellie Windle has been awarded the Women’s Top Performance-of-the-Meet. Windle earned the honor after her record setting performance in the 800 meter run. Her time was 2:11.81. Ed Fye, head coach from Doane College, was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women’s Track and Field Coach-of-the-Year.
Doane’s women won the team championship for the seventh straight year scoring 259 points in the meet. The GPAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships were held in Seward, Nebraska, at Bulldog Stadium on the campus of Concordia University. COMPLETE GPAC TRACK & FIELD RESULTS |
