![]() NAIA Region III Golf Championships The 2007 NAIA Region III Golf Championships will be played this Monday and Tuesday in Fargo, North Dakota, at the Oxbow Country Club. Both women’s and men’s team champions along with individual medalists will be crowned. The tournament will be played over 36 holes and will feature seven women’s and seven men’s teams from the Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) along with individuals who qualified through their respective conference tournaments. The women’s teams include: Morningside, Northwestern, Midland Lutheran, Black Hills State, Hastings, Dakota Wesleyan, and Dickinson State. The men’s teams include: Sioux Falls, Midland Lutheran, Dordt, Morningside, Hastings, Dickinson State, and Minot State. Round one action will tee off at 9:00AM on Monday, with round two action set to go off at 8:30AM on Tuesday. The Oxbow Country club was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and is known as one of the top courses in the upper Midwest. The NAIA Region III Women’s Champion and medalist will advance to the NAIA National Women’s Golf Championships which will be May 15-18 in South Bend, Indiana. The NAIA Region III Men’s Champion and medalist will advance to the NAIA National Men’s Golf Championships on May 22-25 in San Diego, California. Complete Round One Results will be available on Monday and the final results will be available on Tuesday afternoon. The results will be e-mailed to the NAIA Region III media distribution list and posted on the GPAC website (http://www.gpacsports.com/) as well as the Region III portion of the NAIA website at (http://www.naia.org/). |
