Men's Soccer - Tue, Oct. 3, 2017

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played Sept 25-Oct. 1, 2017. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2017-2018 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Men's Offense – Micah Lehenbauer, Concordia University (Forward)

Micah Lehenbauer of Concordia is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Lehenbauer, a senior, from Kathleen, Georgia, recorded his first career hat trick as part of a four-goal week. He also assisted on another goal in a 6-0 victory over Mount Marty. Lehenbauer has tallied six goals this season for a Bulldog squad that is one of only six remaining unbeaten teams in NAIA men's soccer.         


Men's Defense – Jack Bennett, Concordia University (Goalkeeper)

Jack Bennett of Concordia is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Bennett, a junior, from Oxford, England, played 154 minutes of shutout soccer in goal for a Concordia team that remained undefeated by picking up wins over Mount Marty and Bellevue. Bennett totaled seven saves on the week. He currently ranks 12th nationally in goals against average (0.650).
