Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events – Cody Boellstorff, Concordia University
Cody Boellstorff of Concordia is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Boellstorff, a senior from Waverly, Nebraska, broke the school record in the hammer throw with a toss that also ranks No. 1 in the NAIA. The 2015 NAIA hammer throw national champion took first place at the Concordia Outdoor Invite with his throw of 211' 9."
Track Events – Lucas Wiechman, Concordia University
Lucas Wiechman of Concordia is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Wiechman, a senior from Pilger, Nebraska, turned in top four national times in both hurdle events (100 and 400) as part of his day at the Concordia Invite that included three wins. He automatically qualified for nationals in the 110 hurdles and the pole vault. All three of his marks were personal bests. He ranks No. 1 in the NAIA in the pole vault.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events – Kati Kneifl, Morningside College
Kati Kneifl of Morningside is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Kneifl, a sophomore from Sheldon, Iowa, took first place at the Dordt Invitational with a distance of 138-5 in the javelin. That is the fifth best mark in the NAIA so far this season and made her an automatic qualifier for nationals.
Track Events – Rachel Bramhall, Doane University
Rachel Bramhall of Doane is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Bramhall, a senior from Papillion, Nebraska, was a victor three times on Saturday at the Concordia Invite. She hit NAIA automatic qualifying marks in the 100m and 400m hurdles while running the lead leg of the 4x100m relay team that met the provisional qualifying mark.
