Pitcher – Andrew Kuta, Hastings College

Andrew Kuta of Hastings is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week.  Kuta, a senior from Edgar, Nebraska, pitched a pair of complete game shutouts on the week. He just missed out on a no-hitter shutting down the Doane bats, giving up just one hit in 7.0 innings of work. On Sunday, Kuta scattered seven hits over 7.0 innings of work in his fourth complete game shutout this season and his third straight.

Player – Cole Chapin, Morningside College (Infield)

Morningside's Cole Chapin is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week.  Chapin, a senior from Carson, Iowa, hit .643 with three doubles, four RBIs and seven runs scored last week to raise his season's batting average from .286 to .341. Chapin has struck out only three times in 91 at-bats this season.
