Field Events – Shelby Yelden, Concordia

Shelby Yelden of Concordia is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Field Athlete-of-the-Week. A senior from Seward, Nebraska, Yelden cleared 12'1/2", a personal best, in the pole vault at the UNK Invite last week, the top mark in the NAIA this season and an NAIA "A" qualifying mark. She finished second only to a Division II competitor from Sioux Falls.

Track Events – Nicole Court-Menendez, Dakota Wesleyan

Dakota Wesleyan's Nicole Court-Menendez is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Track Athlete-of-the-Week. The sophomore from Lewiston, Maine, took third in the 5,000-meter race walk Saturday at the Central Methodist Invite in Fayetteville, Missouri. Her time of 27:08.6 is a personal best by 40 seconds, a school record, and hits the NAIA 'A' standard qualifying mark. The time also ranks third in the NAIA. Court-Menendez is looking for a fourth straight All-American honor this May.
