2013 GPAC Women's Soccer Tournament Pairings Announced
Women's Soccer - Sat, Nov. 2, 2013

The 2013 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Women's Soccer Tournament will open on Thursday, November 7, with four quarterfinal matches across the conference.  Morningside, after finishing the regular season with 9-0-1 GPAC record and 28 points, will be the number one seed in the eight team tournament.

Hastings with 27 points in the regular season is the number two seed, Briar Cliff is the three seed with 18 points and Midland will be the fourth seed and final quarterfinal host after totaling 17 points in the regular season.  The five-eight seeds are Northwestern (16 points), Concordia (15 points), Doane (12 points), and Mount Marty (4 points).  Three points were awarded for every conference win, one for each tie, and no points for a conference loss in the GPAC standings.

The winner of the GPAC Tournament will advance, as the league's only automatic representative, to the NAIA National Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round (on Saturday, November 23).  The GPAC is allotted one automatic berth because the conference is below 12 NAIA teams in the postseason (10 teams).

Sixteen teams will advance to the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Final Site in Orange Beach, Alabama, December 2 - December 7, 2012, at the Orange Beach SportsPlex.
