GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week Awards Announced
Men's Soccer - Tue, Oct. 1, 2013

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's soccer players-of-the-week for September 23-29, 2013.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2013-2014 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Men's Offense – Chris DeFeyter, Mid Fielder – Concordia University

            Concordia University mid fielder Chris DeFeyter is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Offensive Player-of-the-Week. DeFeyter, a junior from Scottsdale, Arizona, notched his first career multi-goal game in Concordia's 5-1 win at Morningside in the team's only game of the week. He put up two goals against the Mustangs earning four points. Concordia will travel to York College October 1 for a 7pm match.


Men's Defense- Casey Clark, Keeper – Doane College

            Doane College keeper Casey Clark is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Clark, a sophomore from Denair, California managed to shutout Northwestern on the road, needing to make several saves as Doane was out-shot in the game 30-9. Clark stopped all 12 shots on goal and earned the shutout victory. The win was Doane's first at Northwestern since 2002 (not including a shootout victory last year in the GPAC Quarter Finals which is officially a tie). Doane will play Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln, Nebraska Wednesday October 2 at 8pm.
