Indoor Track Combined - Sat, Feb. 16, 2013

Doane College repeated as the women's and men's team champions on Saturday at the 2013 GPAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

The Tiger women scored 207.5 points, while the Doane men tallied 172 points over the last two days.  Doane track and field is coached by Ed Fye.

Briana Vander Woude from Dordt and Monte Larsen from Morningside (pictured) were named the outstanding athletes of the meet.  Vander Woude scored 44 points, while Larsen totaled 23.75.  Vander Woude was the 2012 outstanding athlete at the GPAC Indoor Championships.

Eight New Meet Records were set:
Men's 600 - Monte Larsen, Morningside - 1:19.20
Men's Shot Put - Zack Lindsley, Doane - 17.81 meters (58-05.25)
Men's Heptathlon - Rob Keeney, Doane - 5296 points
Women's 200-  Neeia Cooperwood, Morningside - 24.72
Women's 400 - Sandrae Farquharson, Doane - 56.31
Women's 600 - Jessa Sughroue, Doane - 1:35.24
Women's 4x800 - Doane - 9:30.68
Women's Pentathlon - Briana Vander Woude, Dordt - 3652 points

The GPAC Coach of the Year and Performance of the Meet will be selected next week after a vote of the league coaches.
