Field Events – Carly Henry, Doane
Doane's Carly Henry is the field athlete-of-the-week. Henry, a sophomore from Cozad, Nebraska, posted the best throw in the NAIA and the GPAC with a personal best mark of 46-07.25 in the shot put. She also hit a provisional throw in the weight throw as she finished second in the event. Henry ranks 8th in the NAIA in the weight throw on the latest performance list.
Track Events –Katie Bonnema, Dordt
Dordt's Katie Bonnema is the track athlete-of-the-week. Bonnema, a junior from Ireton, Iowa, met the "A" Standard for NAIA Championships in the 800 meters and the 4 x 800 relay. She helped Dordt to a NAIA "B" standard finish of 4:02.48 in the 4 x 400. Bonnema ran a :57 split in the 400 after running two sub 2:20 times in the open 800 and the 4 x 800. Her 800 time ranks 5th nationally.
