Field Events – Matt Huseman, Northwestern
Northwestern's Matt Huseman is the field athlete-of-the-week. Huseman, a senior from Sac City, Iowa, placed first at the Iowa State Open in the high jump clearing 6-08.25. He hit the NAIA "A" Standard with the performance in Ames, Iowa. He ranks third in the NAIA at this time in the high jump. Huseman was the 2012 NAIA Indoor National Champion in the high jump.
Track Events – Colin Morrissey, Concordia
Concordia's Colin Morrissey is the track athlete-of-the-week. Morrissey, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, posted to NAIA qualifying times at the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolf Invite in the mile run and 3000 meters. He placed first in the mile with a time of 4:18.64, while in the 3000 meters he clocked a 2nd place time of 8:39.06. Morrissey was the 2012 GPAC Cross Country Runner-of-the-Year.
