Football - Wed, Dec. 12, 2012

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that the 2012 Russell Athletic-NAIA Football National Championship will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network Dec. 13. Kick-off from Rome, Ga., is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. EST. The 57th annual event is hosted by The Championship Foundation (Rome).

No. 3 Morningside (Iowa) and No. 5 Marian (Ind.) will clash at Barron Stadium in each program's first-ever national championship appearance. Tickets for the game can be purchased by calling 1-800-858-7601, on-line by clicking here or at the gate.

NAIA veteran broadcaster Jason Knapp will handle the play-by-play duties with color analysis from former NFL offensive lineman Mark Tauscher. Peter Young will be reporting from the sidelines for the second-straight year.

For the third-consecutive year, the game will be offered in high definition (HD) quality. Niles Media Group is the production company for the event. The post-game trophy and banner presentation also will air live on the telecast, time permitting.

CBS Sports Network, a division of CBS Sports, is the original 24-hour cable network dedicated to college sports.
