The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's soccer players-of-the-week for October 22 – October 28, 2012.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2012-2013 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Men's Offense – Hugo Gonzalez, Dakota Wesleyan University, Forward           
  Hugo Gonzalez, a forward, from Dakota Wesleyan University is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Gonzalez, a senior, from Fairfax, Minnesota, helped lead Dakota Wesleyan to a 2-0 record on the week. Hugo had two goals in the pair of wins for Dakota Wesleyan. He scored once against Northwestern to tie the game at 1-1, while against Doane Hugo scored the first goal of the game. Hugo led the Tigers with eight goals this season. Dakota Wesleyan qualified for the conference tournament, and they will take on Hastings College on November 1 in Hastings.

Men's Defense- Casey Clark, Doane College, Goalkeeper            
Goalkeeper Casey Clark from Doane College is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Clark, a freshman, from Denair, California, anchored the back line of the Tigers to a 1-1 record on the week. Clark played in goal against Concordia delivering big saves, especially late in regulation as Doane won in double overtime. Clark had seven saves on the week.  Doane advanced to the conference tournament starting this week and will take on the Northwestern Red Raiders on Thursday, November 1.
