Week Seven GPAC Cross Country Honors Announced
Cross Country Combined - Wed, Oct. 24, 2012

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week for October 15 – October 21, 2012.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2012-2013 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week

Women- Sarah Kortze, Concordia University                                                                              
Concordia University's Sarah Kortze is this weeks GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Kortze, a senior, from Rockford, Illinois, ran to a first place finish at the Mount Marty Invite in a time of 17:53, just short of her personal best. This is the first individual victory for Kortze this season. Kortze helped lead the 23rd ranked Concordia to a third place finish in the twelve-team race. The Bulldogs are off this week in preparation for the GPAC Conference Championships on Saturday November 3.

Men – Hayden Hohnholt, Concordia University           
Concordia University's Hayden Hohnholt is this weeks GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Hohnholt, a junior, from Gillette, Wyoming ran to a 4th place finish in an impressive time of 25:52 at the Mount Marty Invite. Hayden helped lead the 18th ranked Bulldogs to a 2nd place team finish in the 14-team race. The Concordia Bulldogs are off this weekend in preparation for the GPAC Conference meet at Adams Nature Preserve in McCook Lake, South Dakota on November 3rd.
