The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's soccer players-of-the-week for October 15 – October 21, 2012.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2012-2013 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Men's Offense – Adam Wood, Midland University, Forward
Adam Wood, a forward, from Midland University is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Wood, a freshman, from West Australia, helped lead the Warriors to two victories on the week with a stellar offensive performance. Wood recorded a hat trick, three goals, against Doane guiding them to a 5-0 win. He also recorded an assist in the match against Doane. This week Wood and the Warriors will take on conference foe Mount Marty on October 27^th at  Fremont, Nebraska.

Men's Defense- Lewis Wilcox, Midland University, Goalkeeper            
Goalkeeper Lewis Wilcox from Midland University is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Wilcox, a sophomore, from Cardiff, Wales, anchored the defensive line for the Warriors to two victories this past week. Wilcox posted two shut outs against Doane and Dakota Wesleyan. Wilcox recorded seven saves on the week in the two matches. Wilcox has a total of four shut outs on the seasons and ranks in the top 50 in the NAIA in saves. Wilcox will look to continue his dominance as Midland will take on Mount Marty this Saturday at Fremont, Nebraska.
