The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's soccer players-of-the-week for October 8 – October 14, 2012. Men's Offense – Jordan Green, Hastings College, Forward
Jordan Green, a forward, from Hastings College is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Green, a senior, from Lincoln, Nebraska, was an offensive powerhouse for the 20th ranked Broncos this week scoring six goals in just two games and tallying up one assist. Green totaled 13 points in both games, including a four goal performance against Briar Cliff. This was tied for the record of most goals in a game for Hastings Men's soccer. Hastings has now won seven games in a row to improve their record to 10-4, and they will take on non-conference foe Ashford University and GPAC competitor Northwestern College.
Men's Defense- Brian Kudron, Hastings College, Defender
Defender Brian Kudron from Hastings College is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Kudron, a senior, from Omaha, Nebraska, helped lead the 20th ranked Broncos to a 2-0 record for the week in two home conference games. Kudron anchored the back line that helped Hastings College post two shutouts on the week. Kudron was an instrumental part in holding Doane to only two shots and Briar Cliff to five shots in their games. Hastings is now 10-4 on the season and will look to continue their seven game winning streak this week against Ashford University and Northwestern College.
