Women's Soccer - Tue, Oct. 16, 2012

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's soccer players-of-the-week for October 8 – October 14, 2012.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2012-2013 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Women's Offense- Lauren Gray, Midland University – Forward           
Midland forward Lauren Gray is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Gray, a junior, from Ontario, California helped lead the Warriors to a 2-0 record on the week. Gray was a crucial part of the Midland offense scoring three goals in both victories against Concordia and Dordt. She also added an assist against Concordia. Gray was a contributor on nearly half the goals this week for the Warriors. This week Midland will look to continue their winning streak against Doane and Dakota Wesleyan.

Women's Defense- Megan Manley, Midland University – Keeper           
Midland University keeper Megan Manley is this week GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Manley, a freshman, from Lee's Summit, Missouri, anchored the back line for the Warriors this week in a pair of victories. Manley posted one shutout against Concordia and only allowed one goal against Dordt. She had eight saves on the week and ranks 21st in the nation in total saves with 96 and 32nd in the nation in saves per game with 6.8. Manley and Midland will take on conference opponents Doane and Dakota Wesleyan this week.
