John Dostal of Hastings (Neb.) has been tabbed National Football Offensive Player of the Week.  He was chosen for his performance during the week of Sept. 24 - 30 and was selected out of a poll of conference and independent award winners.

Dostal, a senior quarterback from Omaha, Neb., passed for a career-high 314 yards and four touchdowns in Hastings' 40-30 victory over then-No. 22 Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) on Sept. 29. He completed 19-of-32 passes to eight different receivers and had no interceptions. Additionally, Dostal rushed for 80 yards on 10 attempts en route to 394 yards of total offense - 75.3 percent of the Broncos total offensive output.

Dostal boasts a top 10 national ranking in total offensive yards per game (323.0), passing yards per game (270.3) and pass efficiency (158.9).
