Northwestern College, paced by Jay Monahan's 67 is the first round leader after GPAC Men's Golf Qualifier #1 in Orange City, Iowa, today at the Landsmeer Golf Club. Northwestern was the host of the first round of 2012-13.
The Raiders, defending GPAC Champion, shot a team round of 282 and lead Nebraska Wesleyan by nine strokes who shot a 291 after the first 18 holes.
Neil Malenke from Northwestern was second in the individual standings with a 70, while Ryan Kiewit (Northwestern) and Zachory Reed (Nebraska Wesleyan) are tied for third with 71.
Morningside was third in the team standings with a 296, while Midland with fourth with a 302.
GPAC Men's Golf Qualifier #2 is on October 10 at Green Valley in Sioux City, Iowa. Morningside College will host the second 18 holes of the season.
