GPAC Women's Golf Quailifer #1 was played on Tuesday in Orange City, Iowa, at the Landsmeer Golf Club.  Northwestern was the host of the first 18 holes of the season.

Dakota Wesleyan holds a two-shot advantage after round one as the defending champion Tigers shot a 352, two strokes in front of the hosts, Northwestern, with a 354. Morningside (382), Mount Marty (383) and Nebraska Wesleyan (389) round out the top five teams. All 11 GPAC schools/teams competed.

Freshman Lauren Fitts (DWU) and sophomore Emma Wynja (Northwestern) are tied for the lead after the first 18 holes, carding an 11-over 83, in the windy conditions. Junior Taylor Kline (Northwestern) is in third place with an 85, followed by Chelsea Burback (DWU) with an 87, while Jenna Winckler (DWU), Allison Depko (Midland), and Dawn Chapman (BCU) shot rounds of 88 and tied for fifth.

Northwestern will host GPAC Men's Golf Quailifer #1 on Thursday, September 13, also at Landsmeer in Orange City, Iowa.
