The first qualifier of the 2012-13 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) women's golf season is set for Tuesday, September 11, in Orange City, Iowa, at the Landsmeer Golf Club.  Northwestern College will host the first 18 of 72 holes for the season.  Two qualifiers will be played in the fall and two in the spring to determine the 2012-13 GPAC Women's Golf Champion and Individual Medalist.

Dakota Wesleyan, coached by Adam Anderson, is the four-time defending women's golf champion in the GPAC.  However, the Tigers will have a new look this year as four-time GPAC Golfer-of-the-Year Dani Bellet graduated last spring after a standout career.  Bellet was also a three-time NAIA All-American and NAIA National-Runner Up as a junior in 2011.

GPAC Qualifier #1 will tee off at 10am in Orange City.  Dordt and Northwestern will tee of in wave one.  The second wave starting at 10:45am will consist of Briar Cliff, Morningside, and Mount Marty.  Wave three starting at 11:30am at feature Midland, Dakota Wesleyan, and Nebraska Wesleyan.  The fourth and final wave will go off the number one tee at 12:15pm and will consist of Concordia, Doane, and Hastings.

Doane College will host GPAC Qualifier #2 on October 3 in Lincoln, Nebraska, at Wilderness Ridge.  Doane will host the 2013 and 2014 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at Wilderness Ridge in May.

Hastings and Briar Cliff will be the hosts of GPAC Qualifier #3 and #4 in the spring of 2013.

The GPAC will qualify one team for the NAIA National Golf Championships.  Doane will also participate as the host school.  The medalist, if not a member of the championship team, will also advance to the championships.
