Verone Chambers of Oklahoma Baptist has been named NAIA National Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and Megan Glisar of Morningside (Iowa) has been tabbed as the NAIA National Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Chambers and Brenon were selected based on their performances from Jan. 9 – 15.

Chambers, a native of Clarendon, Jamaica, ran NAIA automatic qualifying times in all four events she participated in at the Texas Tech Open on Jan. 14 in Lubbock, Texas. Her time of 54.33 topped a field of 36 runners in the 400-meter dash and set an Oklahoma Baptist school record. She was also part of the 4x400 relay team that finished third and clocked in at 3:45.25 and posted fourth-place finishes individually in the 200-meter dash and the 55-meter hurdles with times of 24.78 and 8.11, respectively. The senior has now been named Indoor Track Athlete of the Week three times in her career to go with her 13 national championships and 19 NAIA All-America mentions.

Glisar, a native of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, collected her first national weekly honor of her career thanks to a strong performance at the Dordt Invitational in Sioux Center, Iowa, on Jan. 14. She shattered Morningside's school record with a high jump of 5' 9 ¼" to top all nine participants in the event. She also placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.29 and helped the Mustang 1,600-meter relay team to a runner-up finish.
