The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for August 27 - September 5, 2010 (two weeks). Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2010-2011 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women - Dani Bellet, Dakota Wesleyan
  Dakota Wesleyan's Dani Bellet is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Bellet, a junior from Lead, South Dakota, shot a 78 and won the Northwestern Invite on August 27. The event was played at Landsmeer in Orange City, Iowa. Midland Lutheran won the meet with a 353, while Dakota Wesleyan placed second with a 355. Bellet is the two-time defending GPAC Player-of-the-Year.

 

Men - Neil Malenke, Northwestern
  Northwestern's Neil Malenke is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Malenke, a freshman from Orange City, Iowa, shot a two-day total of 148. On Friday, September 3, he shot a round of 78 at the Ridge in Sioux Center, Iowa, and came back on Saturday he fired a round of 70 at Landsmeer in Orange City, Iowa. Northwestern's men won the meet with a 615 (311,304).

The GPAC will play four regular season meets (72 Holes) to determine the conference champion - Two meets for the women and men will be played in the fall and two each will be played in the spring.
