Pitcher - Stacey Paladino, Hastings
Hastings pitcher Stacey Paladino is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Paladino, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, posted four shutout wins on the week for the Broncos as they secured the three seed in the GPAC Tournament. For the week she struck out 13 batters and allowed one earned run in relief. Hastings is now 25-21 on the season and will open GPAC Tournament play against Doane at 4:00 pm on Thursday in Hastings, Nebraska.
Player- Erin Bohlmann, Morningside
Morningside outfielder Erin Bohlmann is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Bohlmann, a junior from Denison, Iowa, hit .583 on the week as the Mustangs secured the GPAC regular season championship with a 21-3 record. For the week she was 7-12 at the plate with seven RBI's. She had four runs scored with two doubles and one homerun. She had a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth in a win over Sioux Falls and broke a 2-2- tie in the sixth inning with a three run homerun in a win against Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday. Morningside will take a 35-7 record into the GPAC Tournament play against Concordia at 4:00 pm on Thursday in Hastings, Nebraska.
