Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events - Ashton Henderson, Doane
Doane's Ashton Henderson is the field athlete-of-the-week. Henderson, a freshman from Aurora, Nebraska, won two events in the Hastings-GPAC Last Chance Invite. She won the discus with a throw of 43.45 meters and the javelin with a throw of 38.66 meters. She ranks 11th in the NAIA in the discus and 12th in the NAIA in the javelin.
Track Events - Sioux Falls 4x400 Meter Relay Team
Sioux Falls 4x400 Meter Relay Team is the track athletes-of-the-week. The group ran a time of 3:55.55 at the Drake Relays and posted the top time in the GPAC. The relay team of freshman Leah Wensmann, freshman Kendra Knight, sophomore Kristina Aesoph and junior Lindsay Reinhardt set a school record with the clocking in Des Moines, Iowa.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events - Jared Schuurmans, Doane
Doane's Jared Schuurmans is the field athlete-of-the-week. Schuurmans, a senior from Norfolk, Nebraska, placed first in the discus at the Drake Relays with a throw of 55.69 in the University/College Division. He was the only NAIA competitor in the field and defeated 12 NCAA Division I competitors.
Track Events - Luka Thor, Concordia
Concordia's Luka Thor is the track athlete-of-the-week. Thor, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, placed fifth in the 10,000 meters at the Drake Relays with a time of 31:32.96. The time ranks first in the GPAC by nearly 30 seconds and ranks 18th in the NAIA.
