Women - Dani Bellet, Dakota Wesleyan
Dakota Wesleyan's Dani Bellet is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Bellet, a sophomore from Lead, South Dakota, won her eight-straight tournament April 20 when she shot a 2-over-par 74 to claim medalist honors at the Northwestern Invite at Landsmeer in Orange City, Iowa. She claimed her eighth-straight individual victory. Bellet led DWU to a 15-shot team victory as well with a score of 318. It was the Tigers' seventh-straight first-place finish as a team. This spring, Bellet has won all five tournaments she's entered with an incredible scoring average of 73.4. She has scored 74 or better in four of the five rounds.
Men - Luke Vermeer, Northwestern
Northwestern's Luke Vermeer is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Vermeer, a senior from Sioux Center, Iowa, was the medalist at Dana College Invite with a round of 69 at River Wilds. He shot a 33-36 on the day as the Red Raiders placed second as a team with a round of 298.
