GPAC Baseball Honors

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for April 19 -April 25, 2010. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors

Pitcher - Dexter Spitsnogle, Doane
  Doane pitcher Dexter Spitsnogle is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Spitsnogle, a junior from Odell, Nebraska, threw a complete game six hitter at Briar Cliff as the Tigers posted a 9-1 win over on Sunday. For the game he struck out 11 and walked three as Doane looks to stay in the mix for their first GPAC tournament appearance in 7 years. The Tigers are now 26-13 overall and 10-8 in conference action.

Player- Daniel Nealon, Hastings
  Hastings infielder Daniel Nealon is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Player-of-the-Week. Nealon, a sophomore from Arvada, Colorado, hit .571 on the week as the Broncos posted conference sweeps of Dana and league leader Mount Marty. For the week he was 8-14 at the plate with three RBI's and six runs scored. He also posted two doubles and had a hand in six double plays for the Broncos.
