Pitcher - Kelly Baumert, Morningside
Morningside pitcher Kelly Baumert is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Baumert, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, posted two wins on the week as the league leading Mustangs went 4-0 in conference action to improve to 17-3 in league play. For the week she struck out 15 and allowed no earned runs. For the week she walked just four and allowed eight hits. Morningside is 31-7 overall on the season.
Player- Laura Fugate, Concordia
Concordia infielder Laura Fugate is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Fugate, a senior from North Platte, Nebraska, hit .500 on the week for the Bulldogs going 7-14 at the plate. She posted three homeruns and seven RBI's while scoring four runs. Concordia is now 19-13 overall and 9-9 in conference action this spring.
