Pitcher - Alysia Wittmack, Nebraska Wesleyan
Nebraska Wesleyan pitcher Alysia Wittmack is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Wittmack, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, made six appearances last week and went an amazing 5-0 with one save. She had two complete game shutouts and struck out 34 batters on the week. Over 32 innings of work she allowed just four earned runs and posted an ERA of .88 for the Prairie Wolves. Nebraska Wesleyan took over first place in the GPAC softball standings with a 10-2 record and are now 19-7 overall after a 7-1 week.
Player- Lauren Bodfield, Nebraska Wesleyan
Nebraska Wesleyan infielder Lauren Bodfield is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Bodfield, a freshman from Lincoln, Nebraska, had two game winning hits on the week as the Prairie Wolves went 7-1. She had a solo homerun in the ninth inning to lift Nebraska Wesleyan over Hastings 4-3 and had the game winning hit in the bottom of the seventh on Saturday at the Prairie Wolves defeated Concordia 3-2. For the week she had ten RBI's and scored four runs while going 11-26 at the plate. Currently Bodfield has a ten game hit streak. Nebraska Wesleyan is now 19-7 overall and 10-2 in GPAC action this spring.
