Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors

Pitcher - Mike Zoellner, Northwestern
  Northwestern pitcher Mike Zoellner is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Zoellner, a sophomore from San Diego, California, threw a three hit shutout in a 6-0 Red Raiders road win at Midland Lutheran. In the game he struck out 12 and walked four. His 12 strikeouts is a Northwestern individual best since the GPAC began in 2000. Northwestern is now 23-14 overall and 8-8 in league play.

Player- Bill Meacham, Morningside
  Morningside third baseman Bill Meacham is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Player-of-the-Week. Meacham, a junior from Sioux City, Iowa, hit .667 on the week with eight RBI's and seven runs scored for the Mustangs. He went 12-18 at the plate with three doubles, a triple, and a homerun. His slugging average was 1.111. Morningside went 4-1 last week to improve their overall record to 22-20 and league mark to 12-4.
