GPAC Softball Honors

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for April 5 - April 11, 2010. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher - Kelly Baumert, Morningside
Morningside pitcher Kelly Baumert is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Baumert, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, went 3-0 on the week for the Mustangs with an ERA of .41. Over three games she struck out 26 batters and allowed only one run in 17 innings on the mound. She walked six and allowed 12 hits. Morningside is now 21-5 on the season and leads the GPAC with a 9-1 record.

Player- Brooke Sampson, Doane
Doane outfielder Brooke Sampson is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Sampson, a freshman from Bakersfield, California, hit .500 for the week going 10-20 at the plate. She posted seven RBI's while hitting three homeruns and three doubles. For the week she had four multi hit games. Many of her hits were key in turning the outcome of the game for the Tigers. Doane is 17-12 overall and 9-5 in the GPAC.
