The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for March 29 - April 4, 2010. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher - Alysia Wittmaack, Nebraska Wesleyan
Nebraska Wesleyan pitcher Alysia Wittmaack is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Wittmaack, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, posted a 3-0 record on the week with a save for the Prairie Wolves. Over 20 2/3 innings she posted an ERA of .68 with 22 strikeouts. For the week she only walked one batter while allowing just two runs. Nebraska Wesleyan is now 10-6 on the season after a 4-2 week last week.

Player- Sara Curry, Northwestern
Northwestern infielder Sara Curry is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Curry, a senior from Fort Collins, Colorado, hit .571 on the week with ten RBI's and five extra base hits. For the week she had a homerun, two triples, and two doubles in 14 plate appearances. Her slugging percentage for the week was 1.214. The Red Raiders went 3-1 on the week to improve to 4-14 on the season.
