C of O Knocks Off Mustangs
Women's Basketball - Fri, Mar 12, 2010
Threes were the weapon of choice for both College of the Ozarks (Mo.) and Morningside (Iowa) in second-round action on Friday, but Ozarks was nearly unstoppable from long range to dethrone the defending national champions 92-74 at the 19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena.

Ozarks 29th win of the season lands head coach George Wilson's squad a spot in Saturday's quarterfinals with a 6 p.m. date against Indiana Wesleyan. It will be the sixth time in 16 national championship appearances that the Bobcats advance to the quarterfinals. Morningside's bid to repeat is denied and the Mustangs close out their season with a record of 21-12.
