Chargers to Play Friday Against Cedarville

There were a combined 56 fouls and 70 turnovers, but Briar Cliff (Iowa) battled out an 87-65 victory over Holy Names (Calif.) Thursday at the 19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena.
Briar Cliff's win, its 26th of the season and eighth in first-round play, earns the Chargers a spot in the second round against Cedarville (Ohio) on Friday at 7 p.m. Holy Names' season concludes with a record of 23-10.
